Westside Corridor Study: Community Core
Route 66 in Springfield, MO, Spring '15 - Librarium Nominee
Project: The Westside Community Study is a community studio group project tasked with envisioning and developing conceptual strategies for the second stage of an ongoing project by the City of Springfield to revitalize the Route 66 Bypass through the city. Individuals were grouped in teams of three and tasked with developing planning and architectural methods to promote community economics and heritage renewal.
Collaboration : The project is a group project where teams were given a section of the site to develop collaboratively within the group, as well as working with other groups to create a cohesive proposal for the whole section of the bypass. Our team developed a two block section of the road and after our initial development and research, it was named it the ''Community Core'' as a driving concept for our proposals. My team and I were nominated for a librarium prize for our work, of which I am very proud of my team's effort in receiving this recognition. Because the project is a group project, the images shown were ones developed directly by me, but the concepts and modeling of the elements were developed collaboratively.

It also has a kids zone to provide daycare space and a library for the children in the area .Adjacent to the Kid's zone could be small park and playground.
